Tangentyere Council Aboriginal Corporation (TCAC) is a community controlled Public Benevolent Institution delivering human services and social enterprise activities for the benefit of Aboriginal people from the Alice Springs Town Camps, Urban Alice Springs, and Central Australia.
Position Overview The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for managing the financial affairs and the development and implementation of financial strategies, policies, and plans to ensure the continuing financial health of the Tangentyere Group and affiliated entities.
Key Responsibilities Ensure best practice policy and provide authoritative advice in the areas of financial management. Manage financial operations and report to Boards and Government Bodies. Develop and implement relevant policies and procedures to meet the needs of the organisation. Qualifications and Skills The successful candidate will have:
A thorough knowledge of corporate and government financial systems. Superior management and organisational skills. A current CA or CPA. High-level financial literacy with the ability to prepare and interpret financial reports and manage budgets. Experience in all aspects of organisational Financial Management. Highly developed analytical skills and knowledge of business processes, systems, and products. Previous experience managing financial operations within an Indigenous organisation (highly desirable).
