About the Role We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our Ahrens Mining team.
In this role, you will be responsible to carry out the coordination of design, construction and maintenance of equipment and machines.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will coordinate project activities, conduct feasibility assessments, and manage project schedules.
Key Responsibilities Ensure that the project scope is clear and the development of project designs is in line with project objectives; Preparation of project documentation such as proposals, estimates, budgets and schedules; Preparation of detailed designs and drawings, and prepare specifications, data, and calculations.
Develop project-specific procedures ensuring safety, statutory and regulatory requirements are met or exceeded; Keep records to maintain documentation of the engineering process undertaken; Prepare progress reports and follow required checking procedures; Coordinate the preparation of contract variations; Inspect site works to ensure specifications and contract requirements are met, and liaise with subcontractors where problems are identified.
Work with customers and clients to understand process and design needs; Participate in relevant meetings with customers, suppliers and subcontractors; Work closely with Project Managers and ensure to keep clear communication throughout projects lifecycles; Skills and Experience: Currently have completed a Bachelor's Degree in formal Engineering qualifications Planning and organisational skills to deliver successful projects on time; Communication and interpersonal skills for developing and maintaining client and subcontractor relationships; Awareness of standards, statutory and regulatory requirements; Organisation skills and ability to work to deadlines; Strong desire and personal drive to learn and develop and take on more responsibility in line with experience gained.
