Hays is working with a well-renowned commercial client who is looking for an experienced SharePoint Specialist with solid O365 and proven SharePoint migration experience.
We are looking for a SharePoint / M365 Optimisation Consultant to support both strategic projects and business-as-usual (BAU) activities. This role will lead the migration from our on-premise documents management system to SharePoint Online, drive M365 optimisation, and support ongoing enhancements to ensure efficient collaboration and governance. The successful candidate will work on enterprise-wide projects while also providing day-to-day support, troubleshooting, and training for SharePoint, Teams, and related M365 applications.
Role Overview
This role will see a highly technical SharePoint individual work collaboratively in a team of high performing, extremely analytical finance experts and other business stakeholders.
The best candidate will be analytical, curious, and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail, and an analytical mind. They are a natural collaborator, an excellent communicator, open to feedback and eager to work side-by-side with other high performing technical specialists.
SharePoint Specialist Role Overview
* Design, develop, deliver, and support major SharePoint, OneDrive and Microsoft Teams implementations.
* Drive and orchestrate multiple document migrations into SharePoint.
* Facilitate workshops with key stakeholders, performing Information Architecture assessments and designs, specifically document mapping.
* Previously worked as an Administrator in SharePoint, OneDrive and Microsoft Teams.
* Provide SharePoint Training and documentation to users.
Experience and skills
* Proven experience as a SharePoint Consultant or in a similar role.
* Expertise in SharePoint Online, Teams, and M365 administration, optimisation, and governance.
* Experience with Objective ECM and migration projects.
* Strong understanding of records management governance in SharePoint.
* Proficiency in Power Automate for workflow automation.
* Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and training skills.
* Ability to balance project work and BAU support effectively.
* Strong documentation skills to support governance and end-user training.
Preferred Qualifications
* Relevant certifications in SharePoint, M365, or related fields.
* Experience with SharePoint Online administration, permissions, and security management.
* Familiarity with Power BI, Dataverse, or other Microsoft ecosystem tools.

Certifications :
* Microsoft certifications related to SharePoint and Office 365.
* Experience with other Microsoft technologies such as Azure, Dynamics 365, and Power BI.
* Understanding of information security principles and best practices.
