In the role, you will:
• Provide strategic and operational program management advice to key personnel in the district.
• Manage the operational aspects of project and program delivery to ensure the effective and efficient use of the funding, system and processes involved with all phases of the project management.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues associated with projects and prepare submissions and reports to improve overall performance and ensure value for money and effective project delivery.
• Supervise and coordinate resource allocation, encourage effective teamwork and foster a positive attitude toward the achievement of organisational objectives.
• Apply knowledge of Road Infrastructure Design, Construction and Maintenance Practices and Principles.
• Apply and acquire knowledge of design, construction and maintenance principles and practices relevant to transport infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrate contract management experience in construction delivery of road infrastructure projects. Have great awareness of issues affecting the maintenance and operation of road infrastructure and how these factors contribute to the design and construction of new build and rehabilitation schemes.
