In this role, you will work with our multi-disciplinary team to support participants in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

The teacher/Allied Health Assistant for O.T & Speech role is to provide centre-based and mobile services supporting children in daycares, homes, or schools, taking the valuable work our clinicians are doing in the clinic into everyday environments. 5-28 hours available.

Full support – A supportive, multi-disciplinary team-based workplace where you will receive complete practice management, including administrative support, and appointment and billing maintenance. Supervision – Permanent 1:1 weekly supervision sessions with your supervisor + team meetings. Upskilling – Continuing Professional Development opportunities and Training. Tasks & Responsibilities As an Allied Health Assistant, you will be supporting the delivery of individual therapy programs to individuals and their families under supervision provided by Spectrum Village Health Professionals. As an EC Teacher, you will deliver individualised/tailored programs to individuals. You will work using a Person-Centered Practice to empower individuals and their families. Provide intervention, information, support materials and services to enhance families' overall capacity. Provide the Allied Health Professional (AHP) feedback on the client's and family's progress. Liaise with AHP to ensure achievement of Individual Client goals. Maintain accurate and updated client files to meet audit and notes guidelines. About You & Experience Experience working with children is essential. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently (decision-making skills essential). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Personable, self-driven, proactive and able to build a strong rapport with families and other team members. Strong commitment to learning and growing as an individual and as a clinician through truly rewarding and complex work with family systems and children. Real passion for working with clients who are Neurodiverse, preferably with some experience working with Autism and ADHD. Adaptable and flexible in order to meet client's needs and expectations. Qualifications Bachelor of Education. Uni student studying Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology. Completion of your Cert IV in Allied Health Assistant (or willingness to complete through a workplace traineeship with enrolment and participation in TAFE accredited AHA training). Hold a current driver's license. Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card Check) clearance for paid employment. National Police Check (dated within 6 months).
