Rehabilitation, Aged and Palliative Care Services at the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) provides team-based care for older people, people who are living with a disability, and people with a life-limiting illness.About the role: Reporting to the Occupational Therapy Director, this role is responsible for the provision of comprehensive occupational therapy services to rehabilitation clients located in the Stroke Unit. This position is part of the Rehabilitation Leadership team and works collaboratively with this group to achieve the outcome of the unit. Duties for the role will include:Provide oversight of the Occupational Therapy services on the Stroke Rehab unit and advice and consultancy to other staff within the Occupational Therapy department on neurological patient management.Audit and evaluate occupational therapy services and implement change accordingly.Work with the Unit Management Team to improve services and ensure quality patient care outcomes.Supervision of AHP2/1 Occupational Therapists, Allied Health Assistants, and Occupational Therapy students.About you: Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.Demonstrated ability to assume responsibility for the organisation and supervision of clinical Occupational Therapy services to a designated area as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
