Purpose of the Role You will be responsible for ensuring the success of workplace rehabilitation across NSW including rehabilitation and injury management programs and playing a significant role during all stages of the workplace rehabilitation process. Key Responsibilities Work with key stakeholders to support the rehabilitation of injured workers following their workplace injury, with our primary focus to assist the worker return to their preinjury role where appropriate. This includes developing, monitoring and reviewing of the Recovery at Work plan with appropriate interventions and upgrades, in consultation with the injured worker, nominated treating doctor and other treating professionals, Scheme Agent and where appropriate the accredited rehabilitation provider and union representative. Consult, develop, review and advise all facets of injured workers return to work and rehabilitation programs and liaise with all relevant stakeholders in this process to ensure that all stakeholders are appropriately informed, ensuring consistency and compliance with organisational, public sector and workers compensation policies whilst measurably reducing claim duration and improving outcomes for employees. Manage the administration of and provide sound and informed advice to injured workers and their managers on recover at work and Injury Management issues, including all legislative requirements under the Workers Compensation Acts and Amendments. Collaboratively work for NSW scheme agent to proactively manage Workers' Compensation claims within the legislative requirements and governing frameworks. Provide education, support and advice to managers to ensure they are proactive participants in supporting the rehabilitation of their workers and information regarding the performance and trends of claims in their area of responsibility. Assist the business (Managers and the Human Resources team) in the management of non-work-related injuries/illnesses by developing non-work-related agreed return to work plans. Promote positive, cooperative relations with workers, managers, treating medical professionals and industrial associations.
