Add expected salary to your profile for insights Chris Barnard Health is the leading provider of healthcare solutions for home care, aged care, and hospital facilities throughout Victoria and Tasmania.As a proud Australian-owned enterprise, we have established a strong reputation over the past 15 years for delivering outstanding nursing staff to public, private, and residential care services.We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic finance team and help us continue our success.This is an on-site job and not WFH.Role Overview: As an Accountant, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of the company.You will work closely with the finance team to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of financial information, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards.Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.Conduct variance analysis and assist with budget preparation and forecasting.Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies.Manage and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and integrity.Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation.Preparing and submitting quarterly and annual reports to regulatory bodies.Direct Debit administration, Reconciliation and Production of Home Care Package funding statements.Client Home Care Package funding claims through PRODA.Annual pricing preparations and executed strategic pricing initiatives to optimise revenue and market positioning.Coordinating with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, mitigate risks, enhance system setups, and improve internal and financial controls, particularly in managing government-funded home care packages.Supervise and mentor junior accountants, providing guidance and training where necessary.Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in financial regulations.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or similar certification preferred).Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Venus, Xero and Turnpoint and Advance Microsoft Excel).Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.High level of integrity and professionalism.Operating effectively in a complex, high-volume environment with multiple group entities.Experience with the Home Care Package funding system is an advantage.Why Join Us?Attractive Package: Enjoy a competitive salary to recognize your hard work.Vibrant Culture: Thrive in a progressive and creative team environment where your ideas are valued and encouraged.Future Opportunities: Join a growing team and play a vital role in shaping the future of this team.Professional Development: Benefit from targeted mentoring and coaching to enhance your professional growth.Make a Difference: Contribute significantly to helping the Aged Care sector in Australia.How to Apply: If you are an experienced Accountant looking for a new challenge, we want to hear from you!Please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your qualifications and experience to ****** by 17th January 2025.#J-18808-Ljbffr
