Seeking an experienced Capital Works Project Officer/Manager to join a team in Osborne Park in Jan 2025.Your new companyA State Government department based in Osborne Park is seeking an experienced Senior Capital Works Officer to join the Infrastructure team in January 2025. This role would be offered on an initial 6-month temporary contract, working full-time hours and paying a competitive hourly rate.Your new roleAs the Senior Capital Works Officer, you will be supporting the team in managing and implementing various capital works projects throughout 2025. Your duties will include:End-to-end project management, including planning, governance, collaboration, budgeting, and risk management.Consulting with key internal and external stakeholders around project milestones, particularly onsite during project consultation meetings.Assisting with maintenance planning and project scheduling.Inspecting and monitoring the progress of works, identifying and reporting any project issues/risks.What you'll need to succeedIn order to be considered for this role, you must display:Previous experience in managing capital works/maintenance projects.A background in a building trades or architectural profession (desirable).Advanced stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence in leading onsite project meetings.High-level written communication skills, with experience in preparing reports and general correspondence.Sound understanding of preparing and managing project budgets.*Please note that only construction/capital works project experience will be considered for this role.What you'll get in returnCompetitive hourly rate.6-month temporary contract plus possible extension.Full-time hours with flexible arrangements.Osborne Park office with nearby paid parking facilities.What you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV.
