About The Opportunity:
Support the finance function in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger and financial reporting, while enhancing the performance of Adairs through the pro-active management of the finance operations function via timely and accurate output and effective management of external stakeholder relationships. You will hold key participation in the financial close process and business partnering in addition to ownership of Banking & cash management.
How you will spend your day:
* Participation in the month-end financial close process for the Adairs brand
* Preparation and review where relevant account reconciliations, Trade Creditors, Trade debtors
* Ownership of a key Adairs Department for P&L reporting accuracy and reporting
* Business Partner of an ELT member
* Preparation of a key Adairs department Budgets and Forecasts for key Adairs department
* Prepare timely monthly reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, CAPEX analysis at an overall and departmental levels
* Participation via liaison with external auditors to enable the completion of audit procedures, testing and queries
* Participation in the annual / half-year reporting and preparation of the Group’s statutory financial statements
* Transactional accounting by supporting AP process and AP Manager
* Cash flow and banking management
* Lead and create an environment of continuous improvement within the Finance team
About You:
* CPA/CA Qualification
* Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
* Effective time management and achievement of deadlines
* Advanced excel skills
* Experience and understanding of relevant accounting standards
* Previous experience working in a Retail/FMCG industry
* Results driven
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
