With offices around Australia they need an experienced Project & Design Engineer to join their team at Scoresby for this 12 months opportunity, With potential for extension. Job Summary: Focuses on performing technical tasks at the sub-system/component level for current and future products. It involves coordination and decision-making between product line engineers, customer teams, systems engineers, purchasing, suppliers, and manufacturing. 3 years postgrad experience minimum Previous experience with Diesel engines and parts (Highly Regarded) Key Responsibilities: Investigate product problems, recommend actions, and document results with guidance. Work on new product development and engineering change management using ERP systems and design review checklists. Coordinate with internal engineering resources for CAD modeling and drafting. Gather input from stakeholders to deliver quality product decisions. Apply academic knowledge to make decisions that progress projects without sacrificing quality. Resolve moderately complex product issues and improve systems and processes. Coordinate work among technicians and temporary employees. Contribute to team goals and develop proficiency in critical competency areas. Competencies: Cross-Functional Design Integration: Translate product requirements into virtual designs and communicate through cross-functional reviews. Mechanical Design of Mechanical Systems: Understand mechanical systems to create innovative design concepts. Technical Documentation: Document and communicate technical information to improve productivity and knowledge transfer. Resource Management and Planning: Coordinate internal engineering resources for design, drafting, and release of components, maintaining good relationships with team members.
