Human Nature has explicitly designed our service model to meet the needs of young people who cannot access therapeutic support in more traditional, clinical settings. Since 2015, we have proudly provided innovative, assertive outreach based, evidence informed, highly flexible and individualised services co-developed with clients.
The Clinical Manager will play a key role in overseeing delivery of clinical and psycho-social support to young people at Human Nature.
About the role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the newly created role of Clinical Manager will be a key part of our Executive Team, and will provide clinical guidance to a multidisciplinary team. The role is accountable for clinical governance, practitioner safety and satisfaction, and ensuring performance quality, outcomes, standards and compliance requirements are met.
This role oversees both the Program Team Leader and our Quality and Performance Lead in supporting our practitioners, and the development and continuous improvement of our service models and programs.
About you
* Experience in contributing to strategic direction of mental health and client support services, including models of care and liaising with key partners.
* Proven leadership of a clinical care team, providing continuous professional development and capacity building as well as clinical supervision and oversight of team management.
* Experience championing the development and sustained implementation of diversity and inclusion initiatives.
* Ability to lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality and professional standards under the The National Safety and Quality Mental Health Standards for Community Managed Organisations (NSQMHCMO Standards).
* Strong ability to build and enhance partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

Salary $115,065 – $119,871 per annum FTE – Level 7 SCHADS Award

Essential Criteria
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, i.e. psychology, mental health nursing or social work (with mental health accreditation) and relevant professional registration e.g. AHPRA, AASW.
* Recent clinical experience working with adolescents providing counselling, focused psychological strategies, and solution- focused interventions, ideally with some experience in service provision in non-clinical settings.
* Minimum of two years’ experience in leading mental health interventions for clients requiring a moderate level intensity of service. Strong people leadership skills with a proven ability to build cohesive, high-performing, multidisciplinary teams.
* Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives and coordinated client services.
* Demonstrated ability to lead the delivery of child-safe, culturally responsive, and inclusive client services that meet the diverse needs of all clients.
* Well-developed interpersonal, communication, consultation and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships.
* Understanding of and commitment to innovative service models including assertive outreach, relational care, and the intentional use of activities outdoors and in nature.
Essential Requirements
* Valid drivers licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel across the Northern Rivers in the course of employment.
* Australian residency.
* NSW Working with Children Check, and clear Federal Police Check.
