Join the dynamic team as the Food & Beverage Manager. This exciting, full-time role is based in Kingscote, Kangaroo Island, South Australia, one of Australia's key attractions. You will be responsible for overseeing the food and beverage operations and ensuring a seamless experience for our guests.
What you'll be doing
* Manage and coordinate all food and beverage operations, including restaurant, bar and conference facilities.
* Develop and implement strategies to maximise revenue and profitability
* Ensure exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction
* Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of the food and beverage team
* Manage budgets and inventory to control costs
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and implement new ideas to enhance the guest experience
* Collaborate with the wider hotel management team to deliver a cohesive hospitality experience
* Hands on leadership and active involvement in the day-to-day operation of the department
What we're looking for
* Previous experience (2+ years) in a similar food and beverage management role within the hospitality industry
* Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
* Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities
* Proficient in financial management, including budgeting and cost control
* Thorough understanding of food and beverage operations, including inventory, ordering, and quality control
* Experience implementing successful marketing and promotional strategies
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
$75,000 – $77,000 pa, subsidised accommodation
