Payroll Officer
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our client's payroll team. This role will provide you with lots of variety and the opportunity to work alongside a new Payroll system, UKG, while also working in a transitioning pay system, Micropay. The successful applicant will be proactive, solutions-focused, a team player, and have a genuine interest in payroll. You will have a clear understanding of payroll compliance legislation that affects payroll.
You will be reporting to the Payroll Manager, and you will provide timely and professional payroll information and services to our client's staff. You will play a key role in providing coverage to members of the payroll team during absences. Your new role
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Assisting with the processing of employee timesheets under the guidance of the Payroll Manager.
* Ensuring payroll administration documents are processed, completed accurately, and detailed records kept throughout the employment life cycle.
* Utilising the Payroll and HRIS systems.
* Providing overall payroll administrative support to the payroll team.
What you'll need to succeed
This role requires a high level of professionalism and the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times due to the large amounts of employee information that the role will come into contact with each day. Ideally, you will have at least 5+ years of experience working in Payroll.
Working alongside your payroll colleagues, your role may at times include supporting end-of-month processes, quarterly superannuation contributions, auditor requests, process improvements, and ongoing project work.
