This role is responsible for managing the tax functions of Capgemini Australia and NZ operations, including providing tax advisory services to business, identifying tax risks and mitigation strategies, ensuring tax compliance, as well as managing our internal tax reporting requirement. Key responsibilities include the following: Oversee non-personal tax compliance for Australia and New Zealand, including corporate income tax, GST, FBT, withholding tax, and payroll tax. Review international related party transactions to ensure compliance with transfer pricing rules and OECD guidelines. Manage tax audits and liaise with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), New Zealand Inland Revenue Department (IRD), and other regulatory bodies. Provide tax advisory and planning to identify and mitigate tax risks, such as minimizing unrecoverable tax costs and mitigating PE exposures or adverse tax implications of cross-border transactions. Monitor new tax developments, analyze their impact on the company, and advise the business accordingly. Support corporate reorganizations, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and internal restructurings, involving international tax planning and risk management. Collaborate with Group Tax on global tax matters, supporting the AU and APAC Finance teams with internal tax reporting requirements such as quarterly tax forecasts, ETR, tax provisions, and income tax expenses. Coordinate with local statutory auditors for annual statutory reporting related to the company's tax position. Your profile CPA or CA qualification with over 10 years of tax experience, ideally within a large multinational company or major accounting firm. Strong tax knowledge and extensive experience in Income Tax, GST, and FBT. Exceptional analytical skills for interpreting and analysing the impact of ever-changing tax laws on business operations. Experience managing international tax issues, such as transfer pricing. Proven ability to handle tax audits and Combined Assurance Reviews. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
