The Position: To support their continued growth aspirations, Golden Cockerel now seeks an executive level Operations Manager to sit as part of the Senior Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Operations Manager will have overall responsibility for production, engineering, maintenance, services and related capital across the companies' two processing sites at Golden Cockerel and Toowoomba Poultry, to achieve optimum service to both internal and external stakeholders.A key focus will be on continuous improvement and maximising efficiencies through effective control of labour and asset resources. The position works in a dynamic environment with many stakeholders, so leading by example in the implementation of processes and innovations that will increase the profitability of the business is critical. The Person: We are keen to hear from you if you have the background, key skills and attributes: Minimum 10 years' experience in a manufacturing/processing related environment, ideally with exposure to FMCG, agriculture or related business. Exposure to the poultry or meat industry highly advantageous. Proven senior level experience across operations, logistics or supply chain environments with a demonstrated capacity to deliver process improvement projects in an automated production facility. Sound technical and mechanical knowledge and understanding in a high-level processing environment. Proven people leadership qualities of coaching and developing key personnel to develop an environment where high performance teams can flourish. Attention to detail with the ability to multitask and work in a cross-functional environment as a collaborative team player. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, both internal and externally. High level leadership capability to execute and deliver results within budget and on time in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment. Ability to contribute and add value at Senior Leadership level across the business. Excellent computer literacy as well as appropriate tertiary qualifications in operations/manufacturing or related, considered essential.
