Salary: $106,667 p.a plus super (pro rata)
1. Assist in leading research within the Orthopaedic Research Group under senior mentorship.
2. Oversee research projects and governance, collaborating with the Clinical Research Coordinator.
3. Work closely with clinicians to plan, execute, and deliver impactful clinical research.
The opportunity:
The Junior Post-Doctoral Researcher will be mentored by a Senior Post-Doctoral researcher to assist with leading research within the Orthopaedic Research Group. The role will be involved in the development of new research, lead current research projects and maintain oversight of the research governance along with the Orthopaedic Clinical Research Coordinator. The post-doc researcher would be part of a team that is directed towards high quality clinical research focusing of translation to and transformation of clinical practice. Alongside the Senior post-doc, the Junior post-doc role will work in hand with clinicians from all research streams to support the planning, execution and delivery of high-quality research studies according to planned timelines and milestones.
Your responsibilities include:
4. Conducts ethical research at the highest level of integrity and in line with the Australian Code for Responsible Conduct of Research and MCRI policies
5. Undertakes high calibre competitive research
6. Has successfully written and continues to submit grant and ethics approval applications
7. Fosters relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
8. Contributes to the supervision of students and to the skill development of peers
What we need from you:
9. Relevant PhD/Doctoral qualification and relevant postdoctoral experience
10. Evidence of postdoctoral research outputs and impact as evidenced by publication records (including first or senior author papers), conference attendance
11. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
12. Demonstrated relevant computer skills and an understanding of a range of research methodologies and their application in empirical research
13. Experience in knowledge sharing, development, mentoring and support of employees and students
