With Bendigo Bank... and you.About the roleTo uplift our focus on data and analytics, the Group Data Office (GDO) was established in early 2022 to own the Group Data and Analytics Strategy and drive the Group level data capabilities, acting as an independent functional unit reporting into the Chief Transformation Officer. In this context, the Group Data Office sets the frameworks and standards, and drives best practice capability uplift across the organisation in relation to data management, data governance, the data modernisation roadmap, and deriving value from data through analytics and insight.Reporting to the Senior Manager of Data Management, you will drive impactful enterprise change through the definition and implementation of enterprise data management processes. This includes:Defining requirements and standards for the management of data quality throughout the data life cycle. Work with business and technology areas to define and scope initiatives to improvement data quality practices and monitoring processes. Designing and implementing enterprise processes for Data Quality Management Supporting Data Quality Issue Management processes In this role you'll get to:Be a critical member of the team, transforming Data Management practices across the Bank in line with Board and Executive priorities. Provide consultation and expert guidance and advice to a range of business and data professionals of all levels. Support Custodians and Data Stewards to fulfil their data related responsibilities. Identify opportunities for business stakeholders and Customer and Data Enablement services to continuously improve data delivery methods and data management practices. Identify opportunities to reduce and remediate data quality issues. Work through the assigned tasks, to ensure efficient completion and achieve successful outcomes for the business and data risk functions. About youTo be successful in the role you will have:A good understanding of the financial services industry and experience as a Senior Technical Business Analyst or similar data related role. A good understanding of data quality management processes with experience in implementation of data quality frameworks Understanding of data management and experience of data warehousing concepts/techniques, relational databases, business intelligence tools and data extraction. Proven experience in analysing complex problems and documenting solution options. The ability to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing environment. Demonstrated ability to actively drive the design and documentation of new processes for technical and business stakeholders. Ability to partner with technology services to interpret policies and standards into targeted initiatives that improve data management practices. Experience in using or configuring Data Governance tools like Collibra or Experian Aperture Data Studio etc. Understanding of agile principles, values and practices.
