The opportunity The SEO Specialist will drive the growth of our e-commerce stores across Australia, New Zealand, and the United States. This role will leverage expertise in organic search optimization to enhance our online visibility, increase traffic, and improve search engine rankings. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing successful SEO strategies for e-commerce businesses, This person will work closely with the marketing and merchandise team to align all campaign objectives across all regions, and also be responsible for managing budgets across all regions accordingly.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop, implement and manage comprehensive SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings and drive organic traffic that ultimately leads to sales and profit growth.
2. Conduct regular SEO audits to identify opportunities for improvement.
3. Analyze keyword trends and competitor strategies to refine and optimize content.
4. Optimize website content, meta tags, images, and URLs to improve search visibility.
5. Ensure all on-page elements follow SEO best practices and are aligned with the latest algorithms.
6. Collaborate with content creators to develop SEO-friendly content that aligns with business goals.
7. Address technical SEO issues such as site speed, mobile responsiveness, and crawlability.
8. Implement structured data, schema markup, and other technical enhancements.
9. Monitor and manage the website’s backlink profile to ensure quality and relevance.
10. Utilize SEO tools to track, report, and analyze website performance and search engine rankings.
11. Provide regular performance reports and actionable insights to stakeholders.
12. Optimize for local search results, particularly for store locations in Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.
13. Stay current with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices.
Skills & Experience
14. At least 5 years of hands-on experience in an SEO role with a focus on large e-commerce brands
15. Preferred experience using Shopify CMS
16. Expert knowledge of Google’s product suite & other relevant tools including but not limited to Google SearchConsole, GA4, Semrush & crawling tools
17. Experience using Shopify CMS
18. High Proficiency with Excel and or Google Sheets
19. Ability to influence, educate, and bring together various departments in order to drive strategic SEO initiatives
20. Proven track record of executing successful technical, on-page content and off-page initiatives
21. Qualification in a relevant field is desirable but not essential
