Are you an experienced truck driver with a strong customer service focus? We have the perfect opportunity for you! Enjoy a role that keeps you close to home - no more overnight hauls! You'll be delivering products to our valued customers in and around the Griffith area.
About the Role
We prioritise a happy, cooperative team environment, and you'll have access to a well-maintained, easy-to-manage delivery vehicle. In this role, you'll be responsible for:
* Communicating and co-ordinating the delivery of products to customers, including coordinating delivery with third party carriers
* Carrying out deliveries on farm to customers / other Co-op branches as required (with trucks, utes and trailers)
* Assisting with unloading trucks / couriers as required, takes receipt of new stock and merchandise and ensures stock is correct and in good condition and processed through Frameworks in an efficient and timely manner
* Carrying out regular weekly checks on Co-op forklifts and Co-op trucks.
* Maintaining the appearance of the Branch (including the store, chemical shed and yard) and any product displays to a high standard
* Ensuring chemical / fertiliser stock areas are kept clean and tidy.
* Completing additional duties as assigned in line with the role.
About You
We're looking for a customer service-driven team player with a solid work ethic. You should thrive in a supportive and collaborative culture, where learning and sharing knowledge is encouraged. Local knowledge of the Griffith region is highly valued, as navigating farm addresses can be intricate work. However, for the right candidate with a great mindset and work ethic, we are open to considering applicants from outside the immediate region.
You'll take pride in pleasing your customers and will need to hold a current driver's license, as well as HC and Forklift licenses. A pre-employment medical will be required to ensure you are healthy and able to perform the physical duties of this role, including lifting cargo. All candidates will require valid work rights.
