Narragansett inside TF Green Airport is seeking a skilled and experienced prep cook to join our team!The ideal candidate should have a passion for cooking, be detail-oriented, and possess excellent knife skills. As a prep cook, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, such as vegetables and meats, as well as assembling dishes according to our restaurant's recipes and specifications.Responsibilities :Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and specificationsUse knives, kitchen equipment, and tools safely and efficientlyMaintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including food storage areas, equipment, and utensilsFollow all food safety and sanitation regulationsAssist with inventory management and ordering of ingredients and suppliesCommunicate with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth serviceAssist with other duties as assigned by managementRequirements :Previous experience working as a prep cook in a fast-paced environmentStrong knowledge of cooking techniques, methods, and equipmentExcellent knife skills and attention to detailKnowledge of proper food handling and sanitation techniquesAbility to work in a standing position for extended periods of timeAbility to lift and move up to 50 poundsFlexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidaysHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredIf you are a skilled and dedicated cook who is passionate about creating delicious and beautiful dishes, we would love to hear from you.
