About the Organisation:
Our client is a leading private Health organisation across Queensland who have invested heavily in uplifting and revamping their ICT infrastructure in preparation for a massive expansion in clinical systems and applications over the next few years. They are building out their ICT Architecture capabilities and have partnered with us to find an amazing Solution Architect in South-East Queensland!
About the role:
Responsible for ensuring digital systems align with business requirements, this role involves managing enhancements, replacements, and optimisations while collaborating with product teams and technical specialists. They provide oversight and strategic direction throughout the implementation and transition phases, ensuring architectural integrity during the entire change process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate to design and uphold the architecture of the digital health platform and clinical information systems, focusing on scalability, reliability, and optimal performance.
- Oversee the integration of essential health record systems with other clinical and administrative applications.
- Offer technical support and mentoring to the IT team.
- Establish strong security protocols to ensure adherence to relevant healthcare regulations and legislation.
- Regularly assess and enhance system performance, swiftly resolving issues to reduce downtime and improve user experience.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation related to system architecture, configurations, and operational processes.
- Work collaboratively at a program level to ensure that solutions are strategically aligned with business objectives.
Key Competencies:
- Experience integrating electronic medical record (EMR) systems with various clinical and administrative applications.
- Proficient in cloud solutions for the deployment and management of clinical systems.
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (such as SQL and NoSQL) and data warehousing technologies.
- Extensive experience in programming languages like Java, Python, or C# for developing and customising EMR solutions.
- Knowledge of healthcare standards and protocols (including HL7 and FHIR) for effective data exchange and interoperability.
- Experience with enterprise middleware environments and integration (including REST APIs).
- Understanding of HL7 messaging between clinical systems and devices.
- Familiarity with data management software from InterSystems.
- Ability to convey complex technical information clearly to all project stakeholders, including those without a technical background.
