This position will enable you to develop category strategies on an end-to-end source to contract basis. As such, you will be evaluating the supplier landscape, reviewing spend analysis and managing tenders through to contract award. You will work collaboratively with suppliers as part of an ongoing vendor performance review and strategic partnerships model. You will develop a supplier framework that expands the supplier base and mitigates sole supplier risk.You will work hand-in-hand with Supply Chain & Operations to ensure the timely delivery of product and materials to manage inventory volumes as required whilst leveraging a volume pricing win. You will support a small team of direct reports that are based across various states in VIC, QLD, NSW as well as NZ, who will assist you with sourcing activities and P2P management.In short, you will manage a team that is responsible for the procurement and delivery of high quality building products and corporate spend at optimal pricing, having considered all environmental matters, international shipping, logistics and other key risk factors.About YouYou will be a Procurement Manager, Category Manager, Category Specialist or highly commercial Purchasing Manager, with a proven track-record of success at managing direct spend categories and raw materials for the construction, building, civil engineering, infrastructure or similar. You will be adept at spend analysis, identifying international pricing and commodity considerations and familiar with a network of manufacturing, building materials and construction suppliers.
