The Newcastle based team currently services a national pipeline of projects within the built environment, energy, and industry sectors. For this role we are specifically looking for someone with SSD Experience in NSW to assist us with our growing portfolio of SSD applications in the renewable energy sector.Key ResponsibilitiesWorking across a variety of industries and business sectors, you will take the lead on exciting opportunities and exhibit your project management skills to our valued clients. This role calls for a strong technical understanding of planning in NSW, specifically EIS preparation and coordination for SSD, a proven ability to deliver projects on time/on budget, as well as the want to be part of a fun-loving team of planning experts, both in Newcastle and across Australia. No two days are often the same but general responsibilities will include:Managing the delivery of planning approvals of varying levels of complexityDelivering planning analysis and research via a commercially astute lens to confidently deliver exceptional resultsLeading and working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects across various sectorsDeveloping, facilitating and enhancing effective relationships with our clients and internal SLR team members, particularly, across other technical disciplinesWorking closely with the team lead to drive team and company growthConducting thorough technical reviews and mentoring/development of junior staffLiaising with clients, councils, consultants & other government agenciesUsing your expertise to work across multi-disciplinary projects within a consulting environmentBusiness development and high-level client relationship managementExperienceNot only will you bring a great attitude and enthusiastic approach to your work, you will also have:A degree in Town Planning or equivalentA proven record in delivering client outcomes, experience in renewable energy sector will also be highly regardedExperience in the preparation and delivery of EIS for SSD and/or Infrastructure ApplicationsDemonstrated experience coordinating and managing multidisciplinary projectsA thorough understanding of project budgets and deliverables while maintaining excellent client service that we are known forStrong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work unsupervised as well as part of a teamAbility to take the initiative and be proactive in your workplace and implement new ideasOur BenefitsWe are most proud of our diverse, friendly and expert team, who work together to collaborate on projects to get the best possible outcome for our clients.
