Salary: Level EO3: $146,928 - $154,136 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2021)

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and committed educator to work within the Statewide Services division. Statewide Services provides the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement.
The Curriculum Priorities branch provides advice to schools and the system and leads the development of strategies, tools, professional learning, and resources that strengthen the capability of public schools and the profession. We are looking for a team member who has a comprehensive understanding of contemporary approaches to delivering the curriculum and other teaching and learning priorities.
The Role
In this role, you'll conduct comprehensive research, implement, and evaluate specialist teaching and learning services tailored to the unique needs of public schools. As a key player in our mission, you will drive the implementation of strategic priorities focused on enhancing school performance, student achievement, and educational outcomes. Your insights will contribute directly to the design and development of whole-school system strategies that raise the quality of teaching and learning.
As a Principal Education Officer, you will design, lead and facilitate opportunities that build teacher capability and assist with the implementation of the Department’s teaching and learning priorities. You'll work collaboratively within teams and across business units to ensure seamless service delivery that supports public schools and the wider system. In addition to providing high-level advice, you'll engage school leaders in evidence-based approaches to school improvement, and consult with a diverse range of stakeholders, analysing performance data, and creating reports that inform senior management on key educational developments.

Minimum Requirements
