We are incredibly excited about our Mornington venue, and it is testament to the rapid growth Oasis is experiencing.We have a great opportunity for an experienced Retail Manager to assist in leading a team as our business evolves in our new premises.We are seeking a retail manager with previous store management experience in a similar grocery/retail environment. Your role will be to support the Operations Manager in delivering commercial results for the stores. To ensure smooth operations of supply chain, team management, store presentation, product offering, workplace systems and process efficiency and to provide expectational end to end retail experience for our customers. Candidates must be highly organised, energetic and enthusiastic in this hands-on role. The role involves:
Assist the store support manager with rosters where required, ensuring compliance
Maximising sales and profitability by identifying and delivering on opportunities for growth
Conduct induction and ongoing training for all employees
Stock purchasing and management
Provide a positive working environment and handle employee issues appropriately and in a timely manner
Monitoring and overseeing in-store promotions
Regular interactions with customers and wholesale clients
Ensuring effective OH & S standards are being maintained
Assisting in motivating and encouraging overall employee morale
Working with management to expand and develop the growing business
What you will need:
An eye for detail, with the ability to problem solve, prioritising workloads to meet deadlines and enforce store standards
Ensuring all retail departments meet weekly, monthly and quarterly budget targets
Oversight and responsibility for the negotiation and purchase of products
Significant supermarket or retail management experience essential
Effective leadership skills and the ability to motivate others
Passion and enthusiasm, with a very "hands on" approach
Strong interpersonal, motivational, communication skills
A broad-spectrum knowledge of groceries but some previous experience with Middle Eastern foods would be an advantage
