Job Description Your tenacious and hands-on approach will help in identifying and winning up-sell and cross-selling opportunities as well as building the strategic sales pipeline within Pact's industrial division. You will also take the lead on pricing, maximizing opportunities for new product development and ways of using current expertise to differentiate us from the competition.
Reporting to the Head of Sales – Household and Industrial Packaging, you will be responsible for managing and growing sales for Pact's Household and Industrial division based at our plastics manufacturing site in Altona North. As Technical Sales Manager, you will account manage and business develop for packaging products manufactured from our national plastic packaging sites and will service accounts in Victoria. Your customer portfolio requires the delivery of an exceptional and quality customer experience along with engaging internal stakeholders to drive growth.
Retention of existing market share along with incremental growth of new business development and customer spend is a crucial key outcome of this role. The remit split for this role will be approximately 60% new business focus and 40% account management.
Key responsibilities will be to: Work closely with major customers, employees, and external contractors to ensure products are manufactured in accordance with agreed requirements and specifications. Maintain bespoke and proactive customer service standards and continue to develop the supplier partnership through collaboration and market intelligence. Achieve budgeted revenue and margin targets through continuous development of new business and product portfolio growth. Effectively negotiate supply agreements that enhance profit and sales value. Prepare and present detailed reporting and analysis on business activities, performance against targets, and market and industry opportunities. Prepare and submit supply tenders and proposals that deliver a competitive and valuable service offering for customers and our business. Ensure sales and status reporting accurately details business activity and team performance. Work with customers and key decision makers to identify and deliver on new opportunities and product sales strategies. Mentor the team and act as a sound source of support to continually improve the sales environment morale and team culture. Your skills and experience Experienced in plastic packaging sales and account management. Strong financial acumen, financial performance to budget targets. Demonstrated capability to engage at all levels coupled with high level of influencing and negotiation abilities. Strong strategic selling and customer solution focus. Proven experience in Technical Sales and Solution Selling as a key account management or Business Development Manager.
