Katherine West Health Board, an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation in Northern Australia's Katherine region, is seeking two Health Promotion Officers for its Safe Tracks program. The successful candidates will have a strong understanding of Aboriginal cultural values and a commitment to community advancement.
About the Opportunity
The position is part of a proactive new program supporting Road Safety, funded by the health board. As a Health Promotion Officer, you will deliver education and activities on pedestrian and road safety, driver license education, and promote safer driving practices to prevent road trauma across Australia.
Responsibilities:
* Provide support to primary health care programs with health promotion material development and delivery.
* Work alongside staff to deliver health promotion materials through community events and quality improvement exercises.
* Deliver positive health promotion messages through social media and various health resources.
* Implement health promotion activities as outlined in the health promotion plan.
