This challenging and rewarding role will work closely with both internal project managers and external suppliers to ensure that each installation meets requirements and agreed quality standards, and functions as specified on completion of the technology renewal project. This is an initial 6 month temporary contract with high likelihood of extension.
As the AV Project Officer, you will:
1. Assist in the preparation of technical documentation for upcoming projects based upon the established design briefs and the approved program plan. The documentation provides essential information as part of the Request for Quote provided to AV Suppliers.
2. Review and endorse AV Supplier solution proposals, bills of materials, technical specifications, and layout plans to ensure project deliverables are consistent and to the required quality standard.
3. Provide technical advice to AV Suppliers as the AV systems they have newly installed are commissioned and brought onto the IT Infrastructure.
4. Undertake User Acceptance Testing of newly completed installations on behalf of the Audio Visual team, as required.
5. Assist in the review of established AV designs, including researching alternative technologies that may deliver increased functionality to court users and/or reduce technology costs. Provide continuing market monitoring and analysis ensuring that relevant colleagues are notified of significant technological shifts within the AV spac
6. Undertake investigations and identify solutions to new and emerging technical challenges using subject matter expertise to create recommendations and designs for approval.
7. Ensure correct management and storage of financial and project documentation in accordance with government and local policies.
8. Successfully undertake a range of assigned tasks in an environment of competing priorities, ensuring effective communications are maintained and expectations managed.
9. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other members of the Branch, external suppliers and vendors, and users.

While there are no mandatory qualifications for this role, practical experience, such as installation or engineering design, or qualifications in audio visual technology will be highly regarded.
