Purpose
IDEMIA are seeking an IT Systems Engineer with strong Linux experience. You will be responsible for managing IDEMIA’s Linux based applications and associated Linux infrastructure.
Working closely with IDEMIA’s support team to provide tier 3 infrastructure and application support, ensure operational uptime, service improvement, service levels are met whilst adhering to ITIL best practices.
Key Missions
1. Managing IDEMIA’s Linux infrastructure stack and IDEMIAs associated Linux-based products
2. Liaising with the Application Support team for the support, implementation, and patching of IDEMIA's Linux based products.
3. Coordinating preventive maintenance, system changes, firmware patching and high severity incidents whilst adhering to ITIL standards.
4. Mentoring junior staff, providing best-practice industry advice as a trusted member of the technical working group.
5. Comprehensive documentation and maintenance of technical documentation and SOPs.
6. Participate in after hours on-call roster and able to work outside of standard business hours (as required)

Experience & background
14. 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role
15. Experience working with Australian Government agencies in ITIL environments
Education
16. Bachelor’s Degree with technical major such as Engineering or Computer Science
17. Red Hat certifications - RHCA, RHCE
18. VMware Certified Professional
19. Azure fundamentals, Azure Administrator Associate
20. ITIL v4 foundation
Technical skills
21. Experience managing Infrastructure, Virtual and Linux technologies.
22. Implement, build Linux SOEs, application support, and system patching, deployment, and maintenance.
23. VMware ESXi/vSphere experience
24. Scripting ability background Shell, PowerShell, Bash, SQL or Java
25. Experience with ITSM tools such as Service Now or similar

26. Database administration with Oracle databases
27. Experience analytic, event management & monitoring solutions such as with Grafana/Prometheus and Splunk.
