About the Role Reporting to the Senior Manager ITS Delivery, the Project Manager is responsible for the development and delivery of Intelligent Transport System (ITS) projects, in accordance with project scope, budget, and agreed time frames using project management, contract management, and engineering knowledge to ensure the client’s outcome requirements and DTP business objectives are met. The role also supports the client interface function between Transport Systems and the wider DTP as well as the Victorian Transport and Planning Portfolio (e.g. Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority (VIDA). To access the Position Description, Please Click here Position Accountabilities Project Delivery -Lead the development and delivery of ITS projects assigned to Transport Systems including review of business case development, project scoping, design investigation and development, obtaining approvals, stakeholder engagement and liaison, contract administration and financial management of the works for Internal DTP customers (e.g. Inner Metro) and wider Victorian Transport and Planning Portfolio VIFA (e.g. MRPV). Business and Commercial Acumen - Apply creative and advanced problem-solving skills to resolve contractual issues including variations as well as addressing broader project and stakeholder issues through the development and demonstration of strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills. Stakeholder Management - Actively foster collaborative working relationships within DTP, VIFA and other Government departments, Portfolio Agencies, the Commonwealth Government, industry and other key stakeholders and establish ongoing initiatives to enhance these relationships including alerting senior management to potential issues. Critical Thinking & Problem Solving - Provide expert advice to internal/external stakeholders regarding ITS standards, specification and guidelines covering electrical, electronic and network communications including keeping abreast of emerging technologies to achieve corporate requirements. Influence & Persuasion - Negotiate with and influence stakeholders to resolve contract/project issues and build and maintain effective working relationships. Managing People - Lead, manage and motivate a diverse range of people to deliver ITS projects to ensure the client’s outcome requirements and DTP business objectives are met.
