About the role
SA Pharmacy provide services to RMCLHN with Hub and spoke models. The team leader position is based in Murray Bridge and leads a small team of pharmacists and assistants. Providing pharmacy services to Murray Bridge Soldiers' Memorial Hospital and surrounding hospitals at Mannum, Pinnaroo, Lameroo, Tailem Bend, Meningie and Karoonda. Murray Bridge is situated on the River Murray, an easy commute from the Adelaide Hills.
The key functions of this role are to:
4. Provide management, mentoring and guidance to pharmacists and assistants in ensuring Medication Management directives, policy, procedure and guidelines are implemented
5. Act as a point of contact for the related clinicians and service units regarding pharmacy issues and services
6. Train and develop pharmacy staff in the designated area optimising service outcomes.
7. Undertake performance review and development for all supervised staff
8. Provides a quality, comprehensive, efficient, cost effective and complex range of professional, dispensing, clinical, production and counselling services for inpatients and outpatients. The Pharmacist optimises drug therapy and contributes to overall medication management. The Pharmacist provides drug and therapeutic advice to medical, nursing and other professionals involved in patient care in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures, SA Health guidelines, and State and Federal legislation. The Pharmacist participates as a member of a team of professional and nonprofessional staff to deliver optimal medication management services.
9. Actively participate within RMCLHN working groups for medication safety and antimicrobial stewardship.

Educational/Vocational Qualifications
20. Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent
21. Registered or eligible for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia
