Logistics Coordinator FWG48001 North Sydney, NSW An Australian company at the forefront of concentrated solar thermal power (CSP) technology has developed innovative CSP systems designed to generate, store, and dispatch carbon-free, utility-scale electricity and industrial heat.
They are currently developing a commercial scale power plant and a green methanol demonstration plant.
The team is expanding, and they now require a Logistics Coordinator to ensure the efficient distribution of goods and timely delivery of all project components and supplies to designated sites.
Responsibilities: Coordinate with project teams to identify and scope shipping weights and volumes. Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to coordinate and track lead times and deliveries. Procure cost effective logistics services. Liaise with freight forwarding and transport companies to book delivery times/slots, notifying sites accordingly. Ensure all necessary documents and permits are in place and manage customs clearance procedures. Develop and maintain shipping schedules in coordination with Projects Controls staff. Track and report progress of transportation/shipping against schedules. Develop and maintain project logistics budgets, track logistics budget actuals versus planned and forecasted costs. Expedite manufacturing supply and coordinate progress reports from suppliers, reviewing supply status with suppliers and Project Quality Managers. Requirements A relevant supply chain or logistics qualification. Experience in logistics and inventory planning, particularly with legal and practical requirements of transport/logistics/storage of dangerous goods. Prior experience with high-hazard and fragile supply logistics, oversize/overmass equipment movement, including management of port and road authority approvals, and customs/quarantine processes. Knowledge of insurance and customs requirements and legislation. Familiarity with ERP and logistics software. Advanced numerical, administrative, and computer literacy skills, particularly MS Excel. Experience in route planning and transport utilization. Ability to develop strong, long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Flexibility and ability to meet strict deadlines. Excellent organisational skills, high level of accuracy and efficient data entry. Commercial acumen and understanding of the financial implications of transport and inventory management.
