The Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS) Acute Care Team (ACT) is a specialised mental health service that seeks to deliver care and support that respects the individual's rights, preserves their dignity, and promotes recovery and inclusion. ACT operate 7 days a week, 24 hours a day across a variety of settings, on a continuous roster within the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service.
The Acute Care Team are looking for interest from allied health practitioners that share this passion and would love the opportunity to work in the team at GCHHS.
Key functions of the role:
1. Provide comprehensive care to consumers with an acute mental health issue including mental health risk assessment and risk management plans
2. Coordinate the treatment planning, interventions, implementation and evaluation of therapeutic programs and support services
3. Establish and maintain partnerships with consumers and their family/carers in cooperation with other care providers
4. Work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
Our Acute Care Team Clinical Nurse positions are located across Gold Coast University Hospital and Robina Hospital.

About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
5. Degree in Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work
6. AHPRA Registration (Occupational Therapy or Psychology)
7. Working with Children Check (Social Worker only)
8. Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Hepatitis B
9. Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
10. Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclose
11. Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
