The Opportunity Our Civil Construction and Engineering entity SEE Civil Pty Ltd are currently seeking a Civil Site Engineer with experience on DTMR Infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for providing advice in the planning, coordination, and supervision of technical aspects of our construction projects. This role will be full-time and based in the Logan Region, Queensland. The salary on offer for the Site Engineer role is $95,000 - $123,000 per annum including superannuation. The Role The Site Engineer will be responsible for supporting the project management team with the administration, planning, and scheduling of daily project activities to ensure project outcomes in accordance with contractual and project plan requirements. This position will also assist in the collection and reporting of project costs and data to the Project Engineer. Key Responsibilities Responsible and accountable to maintain the quality system, appropriate registers and ensure all relevant quality documentation is completed as required by the IMS and contractual obligations. Responsible and accountable to review ITP's and construction procedures with the Site Supervisor with a view to ensuring their satisfactory completion and filing. Assist the project team in the preparation of the construction and environmental method statements and other documentation as required in the project. Provide design and construction documentation as required by the project, including conducting site surveys and inspections. Conduct technical inspections of structures, formations, and other civil elements of a project as required. Conduct the design and supervision of civil remedial works as demanded by a project. Assist the project team in evaluating construction methods. Assist the project team to monitor the daily programming of all sites works for adherence to the project construction program. Actively seek potential/alternative methods of completing tasks and report to the Project Engineer with a view to system improvements. Ensure all project documentation (including filing) is completed in accordance with the Company's IMS and contractual obligations. Assist project team to ensure variations and extensions of time are identified, prepared and submitted in accordance with contract requirements, keeping all registers up to date at all times. Assist the project team with financial control over operations expenditure of the project. Responsible and accountable to actively collect and process all dockets for goods and services issued by suppliers and sub-contractors and labour and plant/machinery hours for daily costing. Assist the project team on costing changes to the project scope and/or pricing of variations to ensure the project meets financial goals. Regularly review operations to identify areas of improvement and opportunity to reduce costs whilst still meeting service and delivery requirements including capital equipment, staffing levels or location. Essential Skills and Knowledge Must have a minimum of 1-3 years' experience with a Department of Transport and Main Roads Experience (DTMR) on Infrastructure Projects, particularly in knowledge and skills in; Drainage Precast design and design management Structural concrete and steel Pavements DTMR specifications Protective treatments and footpaths Bachelor of Civil Engineering. If the bachelor's degree was not completed in Australia, it must be accepted by Engineers Australia and you must have an Australian postgraduate qualification related to Civil Construction/Management/Engineering. Be experienced with TMR specifications and Quality Management standards. Nationally accredited Confined Space qualification. Nationally accredited Working at Heights qualification. Construction White Card. Current Australian Drivers Licence. Essential Attributes Demonstrates excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proven management skills, practices, and planning ability. Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and maintaining focus on priorities. Computer literacy, particularly experience working with MS Excel and MS Project applications. Align with the companies culture, goals, and values.
