Full job description Position Information The Ponds High School, located in the suburb of The Ponds in the north-west of Sydney is a 7-12 comprehensive high school that will have 2300 students in Years 7-12 in 2025.Fifty-three per cent of these students come from a non-English speaking background and 0.3% identify as ATSI. The school shares a site with Riverbank Public School and is a part of an innovative and energetic community. The school has developed outstanding teaching and learning programs including; a strong wellbeing approach using Choice Theory and Reality Therapy, a culturally inclusive program and support for the creative and performing arts. The school has three support classes, a HP&GE class in each year and has an active BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) program using the learning platform Canvas. The Stage 5 and 6 elective structure provides extensive choice for students. Current whole school learning and teaching priorities include; using CANVAS for effective learning and a Teams structure to support SIP priorities. Selection Criteria 1. Approval to Engineering and Technology Mandatory (Year 7-8) 2. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability work with others in a dynamic team. 3. Evidence of writing inclusive programs that differentiate for student individual differences. 4. Ability to integrate technology into effective classroom practice. Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
