We offer integrated value-based logistics solutions that bring greater operating efficiency and savings to our customers' supply chains.The Role -Toll Group are seeking a dedicated Contracts Specialist to achieve operational excellence within the contract management function. The Contracts Specialist will work to achieve the goal of maximising the benefit derived from whilst minimising the risk associated with Toll's contracts with clients and suppliers. The Contract Specialist will assist Operations to manage change appropriately and in compliance with Toll governance and will facilitate connections between Toll business units to achieve this outcome. The Contract Specialist will identify opportunities for improvement and develop and deliver solutions to maximise efficiency and minimise risk to Toll. This is a role where leadership, customer excellence and operational efficiency all come together, and you will need to drive high standards within this.Duties and Responsibilities / a day in the life of the Contracts Specialist -Prepare new contracts on behalf of the business units incorporating development of contract scope and schedules and advising the business on structuring contracts to achieve appropriate risk mitigation.Mobilise new contracts ensuring all internal stakeholders are engaged to support contracts over their lifecycle.Provide advice to Operational and Commercial leads in contractual matters to promote agreement (and thus avoid disagreement).Assist Operational leads to achieve best for business outcome in relation to loss claims made or received.Support the preparation of responses of invitations to tender, especially regarding the management of the contractual deviations proposed to best balance legal, operational and commercial requirements.Develop and maintain systems, procedures and precedents concerning contract management and related activities.Liaise with the Legal and Insurance functions to ensure that risks identified are appropriately understood and managed.What you will need to succeed -Strong understanding of contract law and risk management principles.Logical, critical and systems thinking.Ability to coach colleagues in commercial and contract management principles.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and in a dynamic environment.Very high level of proficiency on the core Microsoft suite of applications, especially Word and Excel.Having a tertiary qualification in Business, Law, Engineering or similar - beneficial but not necessary.Operational experience that has included commercial and/or contract management.What moves you?At Toll, you can help play a vital role in delivering what matters.
