Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse/Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our dynamic team in Geelong. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing behaviour support plans that enhance the quality of life for our clients. You will work collaboratively with individuals, their families, and other professionals to ensure effective, evidence-based interventions tailored to each person's unique needs. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments of individual behaviours and support needs. Develop and implement individualised behaviour support plans in line with best practices and NDIS guidelines. Collaborate with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive support strategies. Provide ongoing training and support to staff and caregivers to promote positive behaviour strategies. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behaviour support plans and make necessary adjustments. Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in compliance with organisational and legislative requirements. Stay current with best practices, legislation, and research in the field of behaviour support. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing AHPRA Registration Ideally relevant experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly in behaviour support. Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) principles and NDIS regulations. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
