Primary objective Provide timely, high-quality support for efficient recruitment and people management support across bulk recruitment functions and workforce planning for Department of Corrections (DOC). Key duties and responsibilities 1. Action tasks associated with bulk recruitment activities to ensure quality service delivery is provided in line with DOC objectives, policies, and procedures. 2. In partnership with others develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to maximise quality outputs from operating processes and systems. 3. Provide support, and advice to selection panels and assist with and coordinate the development of assessments and selection reports. 4. Coordinate workforce reporting requirements for DOC to support workforce planning and bulk recruitment requirements. 5. Provide early onboarding support and new starter commencement advice to new recruits including Trainee/Experienced Correctional Officers and Probation and Parole officers in DOC. 6. Coordinate and monitor relevant compliance checks and for bulk recruitment processes. Selection criteria Essential 1. Proven high level interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and sustain positive relationships with team members and clients and apply empathy, exercise discretion, and maintain confidentiality. 2. Demonstrated high level of oral and written communications skills with the ability to prepare documents, reports and recommendations including data and deliver information sessions to individuals and groups. 3. Demonstrated experience with employment information systems, including word processing and data processing applications. 4. Well-developed knowledge of contemporary recruitment practices the different advertising platforms available to improve organisational reach. 5. Experience and knowledge of operational human resource management principles, with the ability to interpret and apply legislation as it relates to recruitment.
