About the Role
Tronox is currently recruiting a full-time regional Contracts Specialist to be based at any of our Western Australian Operations, from Bunbury in the South-West to Muchea, North of Perth, pick the site that best suits you!
If you are keen to travel and be mobile, this role provides contract specialist services to Tronox Eastern Operation in New South Wales and traveling over east is a requirement (indicatively once a quarter).
The Contract Specialist will manage all aspects of contract development, negotiation, execution, and administration. This position is crucial for ensuring that contracts are compliant, legally sound, and align with our business goals. You will need to collaborate with various departments, external partners, and legal teams to streamline contract processes and mitigate risks.
Your key responsibilities will be:
10. Undertake work in a safe and environmentally appropriate manner. Demonstrate a proactive approach to teamwork, continuous improvement and cost-reduction.
11. Evaluate requirements for contracts based on expected value of spend, nature of service or material, security of supply, market conditions, duration, safety concerns and risks.
12. Managing risk by obtaining appropriate insurance certificates, evaluating safety data of contractors and compliance with environmental requirements .
13. Negotiate contract price adjustment in such a way to maintain long term sustainable contractor and company relationships, while securing optimum prices for the company.
14. Monitors market trends and conditions.
15. Actively works with Suppliers to onboard and utilise all Tronox systems.
16. Draft commercially sound contract documents to ensure that the company receives optimum competitive advantage, suffers minimum risk, minimize loss and include continuous improvement objectives.
17. Create and maintain contracts in Contract Management System (Coupa) and ensure accurate and sufficient records of contracts and the tender processes are retained.
18. Ensure procurement savings are identified, targets achieved, tracked and reported.
19. Support the implementation of process and system enhancements to continuously improve the contract management process.
To be successful in your application, you will ideally possess:
20. Knowledge of Contract Law
21. Prefer knowledge or experience in Coupa or equivalent contract management system
22. Prefer experience in procurement, supply, contracts, category management
23. Prefer experience in a mining or manufacturing environment
24. Experience in contracts for site service, equipment and labour hire services is desired
25. Experienced across all Microsoft office applications
26. SAP 4 Hana – Advantageous
27. Knowledge of Coupa Sourcing or Ariba - Advantageous
And have technical competencies in the following:
28. Contracts management/administration
29. Data interpretation and analysis
30. Financial acumen
31. Knowledge of procurement processes and related legislation and standards
32. Negotiation skills
33. Report/submission writing
34. Six Sigma Green Belt
35. Tender documentation preparation
