Principal Surveyor - Cairns An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Surveyor to join our Cairns based team. This role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to continue or develop their surveying career, or progress their registration with the surveyors' board, whilst working with a team of highly talented and energetic industry leaders utilising modern equipment and technologies.
Key Responsibilities Provide expert advice, management & instruction on a range of surveying projects.Develop and maintain a strong client base in the infrastructure and development sectors.Perform a survey project management role from concept to completion. It's expected to be able to dynamically perform fieldwork, calculations, data processing & management of the total project, including liaison with clients, internal & external field staff and internal communication within the business and meeting project budgets.Provide operational support to the Survey Manager in relation to resource planning & staff mentoring.Adhere to the company's quality assurance, project management, procurement, work, health & safety policies. About You Current registration with the Surveyors Board of Queensland or have the reciprocal credentials across Australia or New Zealand to meet the Queensland Surveyor's Board.
A minimum of 10 years' experience in a surveying role covering a range of projects or disciplines.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects. Experience in the ability to also manage clients and lead, and mentor staff will be highly regarded.
Excellent time management.
Proficiency in the use of surveying equipment and software - experience with Trimble or Leica Surveying Hardware would be highly regarded, as would proficiency with 12D.
Ability to work in a technically complex environment and deliver project milestones.
Good technical and communication skills.
QLD manual driver's licence.
