Position Title: Accounts OfficerReports To: Chief Financial OfficerPosition Overview:The Accounts Officer is responsible for the financial support of the business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes. This role involves managing accounts payable and receivable, assisting in financial reporting, and ensuring timeliness of payments in and out of the company.Accounts Payable and Receivable:Process invoices, purchase orders, and payments in a timely and accurate manner.Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.Monitor accounts receivable and actively follow up on overdue invoices.Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.Compliance and Risk Management:Assist audits and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.Support the identification of financial risks and implementation of mitigation strategies.Process Improvement:Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.Implement financial controls and procedures.Other Duties:Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.Answer and direct phone calls, manage correspondence and respond to inquiries.Provide administrative support to various departments as needed.Key Skills and Qualifications:Education: Certificate 3 or 4 in Bookkeeping or Accounting qualification preferred.Experience:Minimum 2 years' experience in accounts payment and/or receivable.Experience in Sales Business Environment.Technical Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Experience with accounting software (preferably Xero).Strong understanding of data entry software programs.Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Attention to Detail: High accuracy in financial reporting and transaction processing.Leadership: Ability to support financial decision-making and support business growth.Personal Attributes:Strategic thinker with a strong financial acumen.Detail oriented and highly organized.Professional and ethical approach to financial management.Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities with agility and ease.Strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.#J-18808-Ljbffr
