Grow your career in the broadacre cropping industry with this brilliant entry-level opportunity. This family-owned business values staff development and retention, so an attractive hourly rate is offered. Our clients are a family-owned farming business with cropping properties totalling 8,000 hectares. The farm is well set up with 400 hectares with supplementary irrigation licenses growing cotton opportunistically and 4000 hectares of dryland cropping producing wheat, barley, faba beans, sorghum, and cotton. This developing business is always looking to improve and grow, using late-model John Deere tractors and Greenstar GPS technology. The hands-on owners/managers are willing to develop successful candidates who can become skilled across all farming operations. This role will focus on a wide range of machinery operations—tractors, headers, harvest equipment, and a John Deere self-propelled spray rig. If interested, there is also the opportunity to operate earthmoving equipment, including a Caterpillar D7 bulldozer and a 30-tonne Komatsu excavator. This position is ideal for a candidate looking for a career, not just a job. You will be working alongside a supportive team who are all passionate about Agriculture. Previous cropping experience is ideal but not a necessity. As the successful candidate, you will be excited to come on board and work towards a common goal for the business. Hard work and loyalty will be rewarded for an ambitious person wanting to start, expand, or renew a broadacre career. A current, manual driver’s license is essential, as is the ability to ride a 4-wheeled motorbike. Situated 55 kilometres from Moree, this productive farming region and welcoming community has access to good local services. With plenty of sporting opportunities, Moree has a great rugby team, a mid-week tennis competition, swimming pools, golf, and artesian baths. The successful applicant will be offered comfortable accommodation in a private part of the farm. The available cottage is one bedroom with free wifi included. An attractive hourly rate will be offered, reflecting skills, as well as the use of a work ute for work purposes and Telstra coverage at the house.
