Arcare is a leading provider of aged care residences across Australia. Due to growth we are seeking a motivated Physiotherapist for our Castlemaine residence. Working as part of the Allied Health team, Physiotherapists play a crucial role in helping maintain the functional independence of our clients through the delivery of evidence based, active interventions.

Position Summary:
The Physiotherapist is responsible for helping to improve client’s physical, cognitive, and psycho-social functions and to optimise their functional capacity for activities of daily living. Physiotherapists play a crucial role in maximising residents’ function and quality of life. The Physiotherapist will be part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure a person-centred, evidence-based, continuous quality improvement work environment that is consistent with the values of Arcare.
Role responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Allied Health, your role is responsible for ensuring optimal level of function and independence for all clients by:
7. Performing Functional assessments on admission with periodic reviews
8. Developing tailored treatment plans
9. Delivering therapy services in both 1:1 and group settings
10. Attend to referrals and post-fall reviews
11. Manual handling training
12. Documenting treatment planning and interventions
13. Leading and supervising Allied Health Assistants
14. Contributing to multi-disciplinary team meetings
To be successful:
15. Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or higher
16. NDIS Worker Screening
17. Right to Work in Australia
