At The Star Gold Coast, we are currently on the lookout for talented and dedicated Theatre Mechanists to join our innovative production team. If you have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience in stage mechanics, and a passion for bringing theatrical visions to life, your skills are in demand!
Key Responsibilities:
6. Assemble, operate, and maintain stage machinery and equipment.
7. Collaborate with directors, designers, and other crew members to execute complex stage movements and effects.
8. Conduct regular safety checks and maintenance on all mechanical systems.
9. Be on hand during rehearsals and live performances to manage and troubleshoot any mechanical issues.
What are we looking for?
10. Proven experience in stage mechanics and theatrical productions.
11. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and safety protocols.
12. Working with double purchase counterweight systems.
13. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
14. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
15. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
The Star Gold Coast have an exciting opportunity to join our Entertainment Services Department as Theatrical Employee.
As a Theatrical Employee, you will deliver specific lighting services to the theatre and event space including the provision of lighting design, programming, effects, follow spot operation, platform lighting and theatrical lighting.
What are we looking for?
16. Operating lighting equipment for theatre productions, concerts and special events.
17. Knowledge and experience of working conditions of a live Theatre/Concert environment, with Rock and Roll/Theatre experience highly regarded
18. Rigging ticket and EWP licence advantageous
19. Experience within the corporate audio-visual and live events industry
20. Skills to make changes to the lighting design and programming of the show
21. Knowledge of and ability to operate and program lighting equipment in a corporate and live event or concert environment
22. Flexible work arrangements between departments including but not limited to audio and or stage.
23. Have basic maintenance experience together with an ability to fault find
24. Have the ability to work in a close team environment with strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
