The position will be pivotal to DVA in supporting the best mental health outcomes for veterans and their families. Reflecting the significance of this role, it will report directly to the Secretary.The Chief Psychiatrist will provide expert psychiatric, medical and more general mental health advice on current and emerging issues to key stakeholders including Government, senior staff in DVA, and other government departments as required.
