We are a non-religious organisation reflecting the sectarian, cultural and linguistic diversity within the Muslim community.We work for the rights of women by:Empowering women’s self-determinationBringing a human rights approach to bear on issues of inequality and disadvantageWorking with individuals, the community, and government to advocate for equality within the Australian context.POSITION SUMMARYThe Director of Business & Operations is responsible for the operational management, including financial management and organisational sustainability, of AMWCHR to ensure the effective, efficient, and sustainable operations of the business.The Director will oversee and manage all operational support for AMWCHR services, systems, and functions to maximise the performance of the organisation and to promote innovation, openness, accountability, and professionalism.REPORTINGReports to: CEOManages: Operations Coordinator, Digital Media & Marketing Coordinator, Training & Engagement ManagerKEY RESPONSIBILITIESLeadership and ManagementLead and manage the operations team, overseeing the management of the day-to-day support functions of AMWCHR.Identify, lead, and oversee operational projects in line with strategic priorities.Contribute to strategic planning, develop annual business plans for operations team.Compliance and GovernanceEnsure AMWCHR meets all accountability, legal, compliance and reporting requirements.Maintain and monitor the register of reporting and compliance obligations.Finance & IT ManagementManage the organisation's finances including financial controls and outsourced accounting providers.Monitor and approve service expenditure and payroll processing.Human Resource ManagementOversee the development and implementation of all AMWCHR Human Resource functions.Lead the development and implementation of the Staff Wellbeing Plan.Stakeholder Relationship ManagementOversee the development and implementation of the organisations Digital Media and Marketing strategy.Build and expand on AMWCHR membership and engagement.KEY SELECTION CRITERIAQualifications and relevant experience in financial and operational management.Between 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably with experience in not for profit.Proven leadership ability, with experience in managing multifunctional teams.
