The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Manager (Mental Health Act Team) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
1. Provide team leadership, management, and co-ordination in the provision of MHA2016 administrative services, ensuring administrative support functions operate consistently and effectively, enabling strategic objectives and legislative obligations to be me
2. Actively contribute to the development of education and information resources required to ensure the proper and effective administration of the Mental Health Act 2016
3. Strategically develop, implement, maintain, and review strategies to manage and continually improve services whilst meeting legislative and organizational requirements
4. Actively participate in the development and implementation of strategies to monitor and improve compliance with the requirements of the Mental Health Act 2016 and advance consumer outcomes
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
5. Driver Licence
6. Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
7. Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
8. Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
9. Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

19. Base salary ranging from $117 824 - $126 212 per annum

The Mental Health Act team are located at Gold Coast University Hospital and Robina Hospital working closely with the inpatient and community services teams, prison mental health, as well as liaising with medical directors, senior clinicians, and Office of the Chief Psychiatrist.Manager, MHA Team, MHSS reports operationally to the Clinical Director, MHSS and professionally to Director Administration Services, Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service.
