Make a difference in helping to keep Australia's financial system effective and robust Play an important part shaping the future of our iconic Australian institution Hybrid work environment About the business/role/team The Financial Stability Department plays a crucial role in advising the Governors and Board on the stability of the Australian financial system. Within the Financial Stability Department, the Australian Financial System (AFS) section is responsible for assessing the resilience of the Australian financial system and managing the RBA’s financial crisis response. AFS is a section of around ten staff, led by a Senior Manager and two managers. About the role Lead a team of four analysts to monitor vulnerabilities in the banking system and the resilience of the banking system to those vulnerabilities Work with the AFS management team to prioritise and manage the work of the section Guide the professional development of the team Communicate team’s work and assessment of the banking sector to the RBA's senior leadership Represent the RBA in discussions with banks and public agencies Conduct analysis on vulnerabilities in the Australian banking system and on policies to mitigate those vulnerabilities Contribute to an open and inclusive work environment About you Experience in leadership and coaching Experience in policy development Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Knowledge of the Australian financial system, the supervisory and regulatory regime for financial institutions, particularly for banks, is desirable Be More Working for an organisation that truly makes a difference to the people of Australia, we can offer development and career opportunities in a collaborative environment that supports your growth, wellbeing and promotes flexibility.
