As Australia's largest producer of meat and food products, our client offers a diverse range of beef, lamb, pork, salmon, and value-added branded products, including organic and grass-fed options. Our Rockhampton facility, located in the Beef Capital of Australia, processes both pasture-fed and grain-fed beef. It exclusively packs organic beef under Acres Organic and verified grass-fed beef under Right to Roam. Operating six days a week, the facility employs 500 team members and processes up to 700 head of cattle daily.
Your new role
* Maintain and optimise plant assets to ensure their availability, reliability, and functionality.
* Drive ongoing enhancements to plant equipment and systems.
* Collaborate with management regarding equipment performance and maintenance concerns.
* Apply and uphold quality control methods effectively.
* Take initiative in executing preventative maintenance strategies.
What you'll need to succeed
* Possession of an electrical trade qualification is mandatory.
* Experience in maintenance and repair within a fast-paced manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
* Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance work management practices is required.
* Familiarity with work planning and scheduling procedures is essential.
* Proven ability to exhibit integrity and maintain a professional work ethic.
* Strong time management and multitasking capabilities are crucial.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including a rotating roster and day or afternoon shifts, is necessary.
What you'll get in return
Successful candidates will secure a full-time permanent position with our client, based locally in Rockhampton. The role provides flexibility with a rotating shift roster, including one Saturday every three weeks, balanced by the option to work a four-day week.
